Style guides and language support

Language recommendations

At Uppsala University we use British English in our written communications. We do so because British English is the dominant form used in Europe. The only exception to this rule is when the target audience is exclusively American, for instance in a Powerpoint presentation or a letter/leaflet aimed specifically at an American audience.

The University’s websites should always use British English for maximum consistency.
