In situations of emergency

In case of fire

  • Save and evacuate others in need if possible.
  • Activate the fire alarm to alert others in the building.
  • Call 112 when you are in a safe place and out of harm's way. Also call the university security hotline 018-471 25 00.
  • Put out the fire if possible.
  • Evacuate the building.
  • Go to the designated area of refuge located outside the building.
    The decision regarding re-entry into the property is made by the fire department. The decision is communicated at the assembly area by the fire department or by the university Evacuation Officer. The Evacuation Officer are identified by wearing a reflective vest with the text Utrymningsledare.

Ongoing criminal activity

If you are being subjected to a crime or witness ongoing criminal activity towards other individuals or university property

  • Call 112
  • Request a dispatch of police
  • Be ready to state your name and location (adress, campus area and department) and phone number
  • When/if possible; Call the university emergency number 018 471 25 00 to report the incident and dispatch campus security guards.

In difficult situations, for example when unauthorized or disruptive individuals are present in the premises

  • Call 018 471 25 00
  • Request immediate support from security guards

For non-emergency situations

Break-ins or vandalisation

If you discover break-ins, vandalisation or other criminal activity towards university premises or property, call 018 471 25 00 to report the incident.

Theft of university property or personal items

If you discover theft of university property or personal items; file a report via phone, online or by visiting a police station. Visit the Swedish Police authority website for further instructions on how to file a report. If the commited crime concerns university property it is important that you inform the affected department or campus area management.

IT / cyber security incidents

Report intrusion, intrusion attempts, unsolicited email, network abuse and other cyber related incidents regarding universitiy digital infrastructure to security@uu.se

Phishing and fraud emails should forwarded to security@uu.se

Work environment incidents or work injuries

Work environment incidents such as work injuries, i.e., work accidents, occupational illnesses, and commuting accidents, should be reported through the IA system, which is a web-based reporting system.
