The Leufsta Collection
The Leufsta Collections at Uppsala University Library consist of books, manuscripts, sheet music and engravings from Lövstabruk Manor in northern Uppland. For security reasons all valuable works are kept in Uppsala University Library.
The Leufsta Collections were collected by the De Geer family in the 18th and 19th centuries.
The Library and book collection
The 18th century library at Lövstabruk in Northern Uppland is part of Uppsala University Library since 1986. The book collection was gathered by several members of the De Geer-family, and contains a number of different subjects.The Leufsta Library consists of around 10 000 books within several subject areas. Approximately 25% is within the natural sciences.

Manuscript collection
As for the Manuscript Collection, it contains mostly the entomologist Charles De Geer's own works and drafts, but also very precious manuscripts by Linnaeus and Olof Rudbeck (both the elder and the younger).
Engravings
A collection of engravings is also part of the library, comprising approximately 2 000 sheets with portraits and genre motifs from French, English and Italian engravers, collected both by Charles the entomologist and Charles the politician.
Archival material
Plenty of archival material is extant that concerns the book collection, such as old catalogues, bibliographical notes and invoices from book dealers.
Leufsta music collection
The Leufsta music scores are part of the De Geer family's library. They are now preserved at Uppsala University Library. The music collection is digitised, and available online:
This collection consists of vocal and instrumental music from the mid 18th century, mainly printed in Amsterdam. Some of the prints are unique. The collection also includes manuscripts.
