Information about the call

  • The activities to be carried out with the funds must have finished before 31 July 2025.
  • The call is for planning and implementing of each Blended Intensive Programme.
    • Priority in a selection situation is given to Blended Intensive Programmes developed in cooperation with Universities within the ENLIGHT consortium. See what univerities are part of ENLIGHT on the ENLIGHT website.
    • Blended Intensive Programmes can be organised for both student and staff mobility.
  • Each application will receive contributions equal to a minimum of € 6,000 and a maximum of € 8,000.

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short programmes in one of the Erasmus+ countries. They combine a physical mobility with a virtual learning component. This is called blended mobility.They can be organised for student mobility or traineeships, but also staff mobility.

The aim of Blended Intensive Programmes is to encourage students with fewer possibilities to participate in mobility activities and to facilitate the process of internationalisation at home. Furthermore, BIPs use innovative learning and teaching methods, such as web-based collaboration.

Call for application: Erasmus + funding for Blended Intensive
Programme organisational funds (BIP OS)

Uppsala University is making available funds for five contributions equal to a minimum of € 6,000 and maximum of € 8,000 each to cover the organisational costs necessary for the planning and implementation of each Blended Intensive Programme.

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short and intensive teaching programmes developed by groups of higher education institutions from different European countries. They provide short periods of face-to-face activities combined with online learning and cooperation activities, in which joint groups of students, teaching staff and administrative staff from different countries can participate to collaborate on specific tasks collectively and simultaneously. Funding

The funds can be used to cover costs related to preparation, design, development, implementation and follow-up of the programme and the carrying out of virtual/remote activities, as well as overall management and coordination. The funds can be used e.g. for production of documents or educational material, rental of rooms, rental of equipment, field trips, excursions, communication activities, translation and interpretation, preparatory visits, admin tasks etc.

Minimum Eligibility criteria for the course

Blended Intensive programmes must meet the following requirements:

  • Each BIP must be designed and built by at least 3 Higher Education Institutes holding ECHE from at least 3 countries participating in the Erasmus Programme as Programme Countries. (Only one coordinating HEI is applying for K131 funding and is grant beneficiary. This HEI receives and manages the organisational support and acts as a host/receiving HEI).
  • Involve at least 20 participants from partner institutions (not teaching/training staff involved in the delivery of the programme).
  • Provide at least 3 ECTS.
  • Provide for physical mobility of at least 5 days.
  • Provide for a virtual collaboration activity between the participants before, during or after physical mobility.

Selection criteria and process

Uppsala University has organisational support grants for three BIPs. Priority in a selection situation is given to Blended intensive programmes developed in cooperation with the ENLIGHT university members.

Grants are made available on first come first served basis.

Deadline for completion of the project

31 July 2025.

Section 1: Information about the partnership

Each BIP must be designed and built by at least three Higher Education Institutions (HEI) holding Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) from at least three countries participating in the Erasmus Programme as Programme Countries or countries associated to the Programme.

Section 2: Information regarding organisation aspects of the project 

Provide information regarding for example duration, venue and implementation period of the activity.

Section 3: Description of the activity

Describe the programme and its objectives, the roles and contributions of the partners in the project, the methodologies used and the expected outcomes. Also add a short description about how you plan to follow up the activity.
