Our organisation

The department is lead by a head of department, appointed by the faculty dean. The head of department ("prefekt" ) is appointed for aperiod of three years and has a financial responsibility for the department. The head of department is the chairperson for the department board, whose mandade is also three years.

The department board consists of elected representatives for the different subjects and categories, TA staff as well as a representative for the students.

Management also includes a sub-head of department ("ställföreträdande prefekt"), who can make decisions in the absence of the head of department.

The head of department is supported by a management group, consisting of the sub-head of department, heads of study for the different levels, finance officer, human resources officer, study councillor and an information officer.

The three heads of study are each reponsible for a level of education: basic studies, advanced and postgraduate training.

The administrative support staff include a finance officer, a human resources officer, an information officer and a study councillor/course administrator.
